Hair VVeber and MurphDawg celebrate BeatalliCAST's ONE YEAR Anniversary by digging into the archives (this sounds all too familiar, huh) and dishing up some rare live Beatallica tunes. We would like to thank all of you Beatallibangers out there worldwide who have been listening!!! We hope you have been enjoying the ride so far! Drop us a line if you feel so inclined at firstname.lastname@example.org (include your name and country/state etc.)
First up we jam the song Everybody's Got a Ticket to Ride Except for Me and My Lightning from the very first live show that Beatallica ever played, which took place in El Paso, TX on May 31st, 2004. Next we jump forward in time to 2011 and spin the English language version of All You Need Is Blood, live from Club Garibaldi in Milwaukee, WI.
We chat about hearing from a BeatalliCAST listener (BEN) from Australia. He signed up on the Beatallica forum after listening to all of our episodes- that was awesome to hear- thanx Ben! Glad your enjoying all of this craziness, stay hesh! (we would love to get you on a future episode!)
News Flash: Hair VVeber will be heading to Metallica's Orion Music and More festival in Atlantic City, NJ (June 23 & 24). He will be hanging out in and around the venue (also in the Ultra-Pass section up front) - if you are heading there and run into someone wearing a Beatallica shirt, it just might be him- say hello and chat up all things Beatallica. Might even do some fan interviews if we have time (and run into a few of you).
Next up we kick out the jams with The Battery of Jaymz and Yoko, live from Hamburg, Germany in 2009. This live recording also contains some audience participation that the band used to do a lot back in the day but it has now become somewhat of a rarity. The song breaks down and Jaymz gets the audience to cheer "Yoko Up Your Ass!" back and forth with him, classic stuff here.
We decided to keep the Christmas cheer rolling along into the new year and bust out another live version of a song from the Winter Plunderband EP and play the tune Wonderful Christmastime.
We jump on the phone and chat with McNewKid from Milwaukee, WI. We discuss Kliff McBurtney and him back in the day (cir. '84) being in a punk band together. We talk about his first couple of shows in Arizona subbing on bass for Kliff (MurphDawg and VVeber where there to witness this), touring the west coast with Beatallica (we caught the 3 Los Angeles shows from this tour), playing on bass while Kliff subbed for GRGIII (on Guitar!) for the Ohio show opening for Dream Theater and then heading to Europe in 2011 on the Masterful Mystery Tour tour. McNewKid gives great insight into playing with Beatallica and being on the road with them all the while fulfilling a life long dream.

McNewKid (aka Dave Benton) also discusses another project he is involved in- the band Chief. We spin a few tracks from the band, first up the tune ManClimber. We then talk about metal/rock anthem songs and the track that Dave was inspired to write entitled Reign of Rock, which kicks ass!
We then talk about yet other projects that Dave is involved in-- writing fiction Horror. He along with the author W.D. Gagliani have written & published together a few times. Check out their free e-zine story HERE or check out their Kindle Edition e-book collection HERE. They have also written books for kids using the pen name A.G. Kent.
To round out our 1st year anniversary show we dug deep and pulled out a much talked about but yet to be played live track, the notorious show from Berlin, Germany in December 2009. While nearly done with their show, Beatallica's set was Hijacked by J.B.O. who jammed AC/DC guitar riffs and bantered over the sound system much to the dismay of Beatallica (they had no idea of what was going on). Enjoy A Garage Dayz Nite like you've never heard it before.
